The house has large perimeter windows and tons of light.

The client wanted to open the space between the ground floor and the new basement creating a triplex, custom glass staircase and catwalk. Bringing in natural light to the lower levels.

Regarding the basement, we created defined spaces: a seating area in front of the fireplace, a bar, a dining area, a foyer, a bathroom with laundry and a storage/mechanical area.

The ceiling was lower, so to enhance these areas with light coves and play with ceiling heights.

The palette of color was very neutral to make the space larger with wallpaper, and ceramic tiles to enhance the focal point of the three dimensional tile wall fireplace with black base stone.

We decided to use side
glass panels and bring
this feeling into the
second floor too using
the same feeling.

In front
of the
fireplace

there was a retractable tv screen and the projector was mounted on the center of the room to save space creating an entertainment area for kids or adults as well as a space that could be used as a standalone apartment.

The master bathroom was characterized by the use of a tile that created texture on the wall as wallpaper.

The use of a wall to wall clear glass partition to create spaciousness

The powder room was created with a formal feeling with the use of wallpaper

In the bathroom we placed the WD to save space.
